Reallocating resources, eliminating duplicated expenses, and leveraging the strengths of both councils will allow the new council to be more responsive and more innovative.

A new council will be able to:

  • Increase unit-serving field staff, allowing us to better anticipate and respond to unit needs.
  • Hire a fundraising professional to coordinate fundraising activities, increasing revenue to be used for enhanced programs, property improvements, and unit support.
  • Take advantage of the unique characteristics of Treasure Valley Scout Reservation, Camp Wanocksett, and Camp Split Rock to provide new and innovative program opportunities for Scouts at all camps and provide greater economies of scale for purchases and shared resources.
  • Build on the long tradition and history of cheerful service in our Order of the Arrow lodges to provide even better support for our camps and our Scouts.
